DARK DAYS
All is amiss.
Dark days are upon us.
We have fallen into the abyss.
Lady Liberty is covered in rust.

The fires climb higher
As laws, norms, freedoms, institutions,
And ancient liberties are tossed into the pyre,
Along with outlawed constitutions.

Across the land
Clouds gather in every clime.
Storm winds blow across the sand
And the sun refuses to shine.
